A Story of Wonder and Gratitude
My six-year-old son and I joined Kris for a guided forest bathing hike at Lory State Park. Kris did a great job keeping us all on track but also giving us time to notice and absorb all the plants and wildlife around us. We learned about the numerous health benefits of forest bathing and why it works. My son said that his favorite part was drinking tea on the side of the mountain, and I have to agree. The tea ceremony was a wonderful way to offer gratitude to the earth and feel spiritually connected to nature.

🌿 The Wellness Benefits of Forest Bathing
Forest bathing is more than time outdoors — it’s a mindfulness practice in nature that nurtures body, mind, and spirit. Backed by research and rooted in well-being, these sessions offer powerful benefits that ripple into daily life:
- Reduce stress and support relaxation — slowing down in nature helps lower blood pressure and calm the nervous system.
- Boost mood and restore balance — time in the forest lifts spirits, eases anxiety, and brings a sense of peace.
- Strengthen focus and creativity — stepping away from screens and distractions clears the mind and sparks fresh perspective.
- Encourage better sleep and renewed energy — a grounded body and calm mind make rest and recovery easier.
- Deepen connection — with yourself, loved ones, and the natural world around you.
Whether shared with family, friends, or kids, forest bathing is an outdoor wellness practice that continues to support your well-being long after you’ve left the trees.
Creating Space for Connection 🌿
As your guide, I create a welcoming space where families, friends, and children can experience nature together with ease and curiosity. I offer invitations that encourage laughter, reflection, and playful discovery — honoring that each person connects in their own way.
Whether you arrive seeking calm, connection, or simply time outdoors, I’ll walk beside you with presence and care, so you leave with memories rooted in both nature and one another.
Want to know the guide behind the trees? Let’s Meet Kris.
